The final step that will make your dark circles completely disappear is concealer. I like to use a light translucent powder, like the Innisfree Mineral Powder. This helps to make sure that, once you put your concealer on over the top, the 2 products don’t just mix together and stop being so corrective. This is an optional step that I sometimes do, setting the corrector in place. Left side with corrector, right side without correctorĮven without the concealer, it’s already clear to see just how much of a difference using the corrector has made to my dark circles. I find that using a brush or a sponge can sometimes pick up the product and spread it out away from where you wanted it. I like to use my fingers for this, this way I can ensure that I’m not wiping away any product and I can keep the pigment where I need it. We’ll be using a corrector and a concealer in this method, so you’ll want to make sure that your under eyes are smooth and hydrated so that the products don’t crease or cling to any patches. I like to make sure to use some kind of eye cream before any other products.

If you look at the colour wheel you can see that warm orange and yellow shades are opposite the blues and purples.

When it comes to dark circles, most people find that their under eyes are slightly blue or purple. This is why a lot of blemish sticks are green-tinted-the green will counteract the red of your blemishes.

For example, you can see that green and red are opposite each other on the colour wheel.
